Adoption Cards

In the adoption world, pass along cards are needed to help get the word out that your family is hoping to adopt (think business card advertising your family :-). Some friends of mine, Jerom & Candise are hoping to add to their family through adoption. So, I designed a pass along card that I think fits their personalities. Such a great family. You can view their adoption blog here.

On a side note, if you have adoption pass along cards, my friends and I, at The R House Couture include adoption pass along cards with every order we ship out. Send us a stack (50 cards at least) and we will start including yours.

Simply Me

My good friend, Kim, over at Simply Me, was ready for a new look for her blog. So we redid her header completely keeping some of her original colors in tack and added a nav bar to give it a fresh new look. She also has a great new blog card to go along with it. I think especially love the little details we included to incorporate her family.

I Love Adoption

If you didn't know, I love adoption. November is National Adoption Awareness month. So for all of those out there who love adoption to or who are hoping to adopt, I made a couple of buttons that could be used on blogs to link to adoption info or to hopeful adoptive parents' profiles. These are oldies but goodies. Enjoy.

Organize It Mom

Laurie, over at Organize It Mom, already had her logo and backgrounds, she wanted a blog design that went along well with her website. I think it fits in well. I love all of her charts but especially love the little tips and tricks she gives for organizing things. I've used a few of them, my favorite being a shoe organizer for all of our hats, gloves & scarves rather than the big basket in the bottom of the closet that seemed to eat gloves. If only the rest of my house were as organized as Laurie's.

Voices Singing Group

Cassie, a member of the singing group, Voices, contacted me for a business card. Her only requirements were that it was black and red to go along with the two holidays they performed for. She left the rest up to me. When the cards came, printed on pearlescent cardstock with a glossy UV coating, they were elegant and beautiful. As much as I love the design, the cards were even more fabulous in person.

Curtsy Daisy

I had a great time working with Jenny & Pam at Curtsy Daisy on their logo, Etsy header and business card design. They make the cutest little skirts. I got one for my daughter and she gets compliments on it every time she wears it.

Curtsy Daisy will be at the Sweet Tweets boutique in just a few weeks. Check out their cute skirts & matching bows. I know I can't wait to see their new aprons and am hoping they have a boy style too.

Kori's Kards and More

I recently finished this blog design and Etsy header for Kori at Kori's Kards and More. Kori loves the owl and I have to say, he did turn out pretty cute, if I do say so myself.
Kori just started selling her fabulous, adorable and reasonably priced hand stamped cards and other gifts in her Etsy shop (which you can also link to through her blog). I may never make another card myself. In fact, I just ordered a birthday jar and card along with some Halloween items. I'm totally excited to get them and even more excited that I don't have to make a cute something myself.

Scentsy Button

Ashley needed a button to advertise her Scentsy. She said she would love to see it light blue and chocolate brown (which of course I always love) and so her button was born.

Amy Lee Photography

Just finished a wonderful design for Amy Lee who was super easy to work with and I think her blog turned out great. There is something about the crispness of the black and white that I just love. I also love the simpleness of her button.

You may view the entire design here.

Heading Out

Soon to Be

You may remember this client...Sell Party of Three is soon to be Sell Party of Four. Congrats, Von!!!! I look forward to meeting your new addition when he/she arrives. And in the meantime, I have made a flashing header for her. The new header will be permanent when it is officially a "Party of Four." After finalizing her blog, I also made stick cards for her which I love the design of. They are so small and sleak. I came across one on my desk the other day and just love the size. I'm sure I need cards of that size for something. Hmmm.

National FSA Logo

I think that I can officially say that this project has been in the works for over a year (right, ladies). Things were slow going for the new Families Supporting Adoption logo and blog design. After numerous changes and then a complete restart on the look of the blog, it is finally finished, finally live and looking fabulous if I do say so myself. I especially love that the handprint is a digitized image of my daughters hand. They loved this over the completely digital handprint and I love it too.

Going Up

Wow is all I can say. Thank you to all of my wonderful clients that have made my design business take off. What a fabulous thing this has been. I am loving it and love being able to make your design dreams a reality. I love seeing them as I visit your blogs, websites, Facebook and Twitter pages. I also love when I get an actual printed product in the mail. It's fabulous. I hope you are loving it as much as I am.

As much as I love it, I had also come to realize what a great deal my blog design prices have been. And with that being said, will be changing my prices beginning August 15th. A complete blog package will be $225 beginning August 15th.

For all of my current clients who have designs in the works or who have already emailed me, don't worry, this won't affect your pricing (even if you decide to add a few things here or there). And for those who have been contemplating a blog makeover and want to get on the calendar you still have time to contact me and get things going, I will still honor my current pricing as long as your package is paid in full by the 15th.

I am also excited to have found an Illustrator to be working with for any of you who might like more caricature designs for your blog. If you are interested in something like that let me know and I can give you more deets.

I hope everyone has a great week and I love hearing from you all. Keep the emails coming. They are great. Thanks again everyone for making Leisha Kelsey Design so fabulous.

Snapshots & Random Thoughts

I just finished another great blog design. I'm having so much fun working with my blogging clients and Tami was no exception. She wasn't really sure what type of design she wanted when she came to me but wanted to include black, red, white and maybe some green. I gave her a few suggestions and together decided a flower and circle theme would be great. And this is what I came up with.

I'm excited to start Tami's running blog redesign in the next few weeks.

Graduation Announcements

There is nothing that I love more than a senior session. And being able to design a custom graduation announcement just tops it off. It's just so great. I am excited to share the design with you as much as I am to see the printed product (which is going to be on a pearlescent cardstock which I always love but with the black and gold, will make it even better). I always love to design but there is just something about having the printed product in hand that makes it ever so sweet. So, I gave Zach's mom two different options for the back of the design which made it hard for her to choose. I don't think she could go wrong with either one.

You can go here or here to view more of Zach's photo session.

Adoption Cards

I have had quite a few requests regarding adoption pass along cards in the last few weeks (I must thank The R House for that) and so I thought I should post a few here for you to see.

Adoption pass along cards are like a business card for your family. You can never get the word out enough and so it is great to have a little card to be able to give to family and friends, post on bulletin boards, leave at restaurants, etc. You can pass them out, just like you would a business card.

Here is the one I made for my family.

You can visit our adoption blog here (although it will be getting a makeover soon).

Custom pass along card designs are $35 for a two-sided design and can be any size you would like (up to 6x6). You will be provided the digital file on the design and can then take it to any printer of your choosing (I can suggest a few if you live in Utah or if you are looking for business card size, I can also suggest a few online companies for printing).

I would love to design the next pass along card as a 4x4 mini scrapbook page (just an idea for any of you thinking about it). I think it could be great and actually just sparked an idea for a new look for mine. I would also love to design postcards, bookmarks or announcements for you as well and will put together a custom package if you order them all together.

But, if you are looking for something quick and simple for your pass along cards. For any of the pass along card designs that have been presented as a part of FSA (you can view them here), I am more than happy to plug your info in and adjust the color to match your picture for a minimal fee of $10. Here are a few that did just that:

Feel free to email me with any questions you might have as I'd love to discuss your design and make it a reality.

Sell...party of three

I was contacted by Von a few weeks ago and she wanted a complete blog makeover. She loves bright colors. . .pink, orange, turquoise and lime green were her top requests. She also wanted it really girlie. After Von saw the initial design she said, "If I didn't believe in love at first sight...now I do! You ARE AMAZING! I LOVE IT!!! So. me." I can see Von now, coming back to her blog a zillion times just to see her new look (which I love the thought of).

Thanks, Von!

Matching Monday Button Design

This is my latest button design. . .Matching Mondays. I love adoption and so from the moment Brenda wanted this button, I couldn't stop thinking about it because I love that she is highlighting waiting children. Every Monday you can find a post on her blog with children waiting, hoping and dreaming of a family. I love how her button turned out and I love the color combination that Brenda choose.

Kim Orlandini Photography

I was able to put together a complete business package for my good friend (and client) Kim for her photography business. Her blog design was just one of the many different aspects. You can check it out here. Along with the blog design I made her logo, business cards, invoices, thank you cards (which I think are my favorite part), and button. To see her excited about it made me extra excited and I couldn't wait to share.
